The authors I list here are my absolute favorites. That means I’ve read most, if not all, of their books and completely fell in love with their writing, characters, worlds they’ve created, and their talent for storytelling. They are also likely my auto-buy authors as I have complete faith that I will enjoy whatever other novels they create. I cannot recommend their books enough!
This list will be in alphabetical order by last name, not ranking order. Clicking on their name will lead to any and all reviews I have for their books.
Josie is one of the most genuine, nicest, and most friendly authors I’ve had the privilege to meet. I first met her at LA Times Festival of Books and she’s always been encouraging with my writing and so freely gave me tips and answered my questions. I absolutely fell in love with her World Walker trilogy and have made sure to collect both the US and UK editions. Always a joy seeing her in person!
One of my favorite people ever! Cora and her first book Losing It are what first introduced me to the New Adult genre. She’s always so kind and fun to chat with whenever I’m lucky enough to be able to attend an author event where she’s in attendance.
Queen Cassie! Haha She and her books hold a special place in my heart, especially City of Bones because they are what inspired me to write again when I felt that I had lost that part of me after going through a dark time in college. Her talent for writing always amazes me and there hasn’t been one book of hers yet that has disappointed me.
I wish I had read Kerri’s Stalking Jack the Ripper series when it was first published because it quickly became one of my absolute favorites! Her writing is wonderful, so vivid, and addictive. She’s always been so nice when interacting with her readers online. I really, really hope to meet her one day!
Have you ever met another author with a family history as cool as Adriana Mather’s? I doubt it! Adriana’s How to Hang a Witch series completely captivated me and I really hope to read more of her books! I’ve only met her once but she was so cool and we were so busy chatting about witches, Salem, and writing that I forgot to ask her for a photo. Haha
Unlike a lot of YA readers, I was never a fan of Twilight and all the hype around it just made me wary of books in the vampire genre. Fortunately, my friends convinced me to give Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series a try and I was instantly hooked! Richelle’s always been so kind to her readers every time I’ve been lucky enough to meet her.
Jennifer is probably one of my closest author friends and fellow fangirl! I adore her with all my heart. I never thought I would have a book that I could claim “saved my life” until I read All the Bright Places and I am so thankful for her, for her books, and for her friendship.
